CloverLick Banjos are made using top grade woods, parts, my own handmade tone rings and optional brass hardware.  Our business focus is exclusively building PineyWoods, CheddarRidge, Foxville and Piedmont Oldtime Banjos and BlackMountain and JazzMuenster Resonator Banjos.      All of our banjos are made one at a time and are truly handcrafted instruments.    A brief summary of each of our models is described below.     More detailed information in the model pages on this website.  Of course, we put a 4 string tenor or plectrum neck on any of our 5 string models.   All banjos which are available for immediate purchase are in the <<CloverLick Store>>.

OPEN BACK BANJO MODELS

PineyWoods open back model has a 3/4" Tony Pass Lost Timbre rim.    This is tradtional open back banjo construction with a wooden dowel stick, Schaller Tuners, Kerschner Tailpiece, wood covered armrests, split neck constuction, and carbon filamont permanent truss rod.   Various tone ring options available are our AllWood, EKlyte, EKTube, and EKlectric.   We also offer our hand crafted brass hardware on this model.    The PineyWoods is a premium grade banjo.   Click on PineyWoods for more info, options and prices.

CheddarRidge open back model has a ThinSkirt Tony Pass Lost Timbre rim.    This banjo is built with a tube shoe flange with no holes are drilled in the rim, twin coordinator rods, Schaller Tuners, Kerschner Tailpiece, wood covered armrests, split neck constuction, and carbon filamont permanent truss rod.   Various tone ring options available are our AllWood, EKlyte, EKTube, and EKlectric.   It also is built with the Tennessee 20 or Huber flat top tone rings.   We also offer our hand crafted brass hardware on this model.    The CheddarRidge is a premium grade banjo.    Click on CheddarRidge for more info, options and prices.

PiedMont open back model has a  3/8" laminated maple rim,  has a standard one piece maple neck, standard nickle hardware, Waverly tailpiece, Waverly tuners, dowel stick and armrest.   Various tone ring options available are our AllWood and EKlyte.  The PiedMont is built to provide a fretless, gut string banjo with modern parts at an intermediate price.     This banjo and strings are designed to be played in the lower tuning ranges.   Click on PiedMont for more info, options and prices.

RESONATOR BANJO MODELS
